Today, we’re putting the spotlight on Ashley Duffy, Director of Events at Pioneer Court for Zeller at the 401 North Michigan building in Chicago, and a dedicated member of the Emerging Professionals Committee since July 2023.

What is your position/title at your current company? How long have you been in the Emerging Professionals Committee?
I am the Director of Events, Pioneer Court for Zeller at the 401 North Michigan building in Chicago. I have been a member of the Emerging Professionals Committee since July 2023.
What led you to the commercial real estate industry?
My connections brought me here. I spent most of my career working for The Magnificent Mile Association in Chicago as the Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. That is where I met Bob Six and Lori Olson with Zeller. Bob and Lori sat on the Executive Committee for the Association. When they were looking to fill the Director of Events role for Pioneer Court, thankfully they decided to reach out to me. I have now worked in my position at Zeller for 3 years and have loved every minute!
What has your involvement been like at BOMA?
I am an active member of the BOMA/International Emerging Professionals Committee, which I was invited to join in the summer of 2023 through connections I made at BOMA/Chicago. I am also a member of BOMA/Chicago’s Emerging Leader Committee. Previously I was a member of the BOMA/Chicago Communications Committee. This past year I attended the BOMA/International Conference in Philadelphia for the first time. And I am excited to share I am nominated for the BOMA/Chicago Gold Circle Awards Emerging Leader of the Year award!
What advice would you give to emerging professionals in the commercial real estate field?
Get involved! Connections mean everything. Join a committee, attend networking events, and become friends with the staff at BOMA/International and your local BOMA chapter. They will get to know you and help guide you to find your place within the organizations. Connections mean everything!
If you were trapped on an island and could only eat one food, what would it be?
Right now, I would say cheeseburgers! I am 9 months pregnant, and my biggest craving is cheeseburgers and fries. 😊
