The government is a powerhouse when it comes to real estate, with a vast inventory of owned and leased space across federal, state, and local entities. The General Services Administration (GSA) alone owns and leases over 363 million square feet of space in 8,397 buildings in more than 2,200 communities nationwide.
This case study examines how two government buildings used the BOMA 360 Performance Program to help them achieve their goals. The 360 program is a globally recognized standard that highlights operational distinction across six critical areas: building operations and management, life safety and security, training and education, energy, environmental/sustainability, and tenant relations/community involvement.
