BOMA International Carbon Reduction Challenge Results

The latest results from the BOMA International Carbon Challenge are in! The commercial real estate industry continues to demonstrate voluntary progress in reducing building emissions. Data from buildings distributed across the country indicates that the industry is moving strongly in the right direction. From 2023 to 2024, participating buildings experienced a year-over-year reduction in emissions, emissions intensity, and total energy consumption. This year’s take-away statistic: Challenge participants in the U.S. reduced their total emissions by 7.04%!
