Facilities Planning and Project Management

Course Description

The Facilities Planning and Project Management course will help you develop the skills and knowledge critical to successfully executing any facilities project. You will learn to develop strategic facilities plans, plan facilities projects, and effectively implement and evaluate projects.

You’ll review the why and the how of communicating with employees directly affected by facilities projects and integrating them into the strategic process. To accomplish this, you will learn the basic symbols and tools you will need to read architectural drawings.

A case study woven throughout the coursebook presents real-world examples of proper planning and selecting a project team and the importance of flexibility, follow-through, and attention to detail.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Execute post-occupancy evaluations using facilities annual reports
  • Organize and plan a successful facilities project
