BOMA/BOMI are led by volunteers and experts in the industry who help set the direction and execute the business plan for our organizations. They make sure that CRE professionals have what they need by providing resources, oversight, advocacy, and industry knowledge to our vibrant and growing community. The BOMA Executive Committee

Make a difference in commercial real estate. Apply to serve on BOMA International's Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Governors is seeking candidates to fill nine open seats, including:

Two Officer positions: Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer
Five Principal Member positions
One BAE position
One Associate Member position

Applications are now being accepted and must be completed and submitted no later than December 13, 2026. Prospective candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and qualifications before applying.

Once a completed application has been received, a confirmation email will be sent. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview for available positions during BOMA's Winter Business Meeting and Annual Conference & Expo.

Complete the application.

Submit a cover letter.

Submit a professional resume.

Submit a letter of support from your employer or partner.

A letter of support from your employer or partner on company letterhead, supporting your candidacy and stating they understand the time commitment for the position. Please provide your employer a copy of the position description.

a. If you are the employer, your letter of intent will suffice.

b. If you are a BOMA BAE the letter of support should be from your local president or board chair, or if employed by a management company, a letter from the Association Management Company on company letterhead, supporting your candidacy.

Submit a letter of support from your BOMA local association.

Submit three additional letters of support and endorsement from BOMA members.

Three additional letters of endorsement (no more than three, please) from BOMA International members or BOMA BAEs familiar with your BOMA activities. Please provide the endorsers with a copy of the position description so they are familiar with the position for which you are applying.

Note: Be sure to check if your endorsers have already endorsed others. The Nominating Committee will only accept up to two letters written by the same endorser for more than one candidate. Current BOMA International officers, BAE Council officers, members of BOMA International’s Nominating Committee, or BOMA staff cannot provide endorsement letters.

The BOMI Board of Trustees

We are accepting applications for volunteer members who are dedicated to BOMI’s mission. BOMI’s Board of Trustees members guide, inspire, and set policy for the organization.

As our educational business expands, so does the need for volunteer involvement. We invite you to apply for a Trustee position, where you will participate in quarterly meetings with the Board and its supporting committees. An information packet defining roles and responsibilities of the Board is available upon request by calling 1.800.235.BOMI (2664).
