The 2022 Office Market Study

In 2022, BOMA conducted a comprehensive study on the commercial real estate market through the lens of our members. We found that BOMA office markets totaled an incredible 8.6 billion square feet, which contributed $75 billion in personal income and $148 billion to the country’s GDP — and those numbers have likely only grown since.

Sustainability

BOMA International has been a leader in promoting energy efficiency and sustainable building operations for more than a decade. One of BOMA’s top legislative priorities is preserving ENERGY STAR. With energy use in commercial buildings being one of the largest controllable operating costs for property professionals, benchmarking energy use, water consumption and waste output through ENERGY STAR’S Portfolio Manager is an industry best practice. BOMA is a 17-time ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year winner and strongly supports the ENERGY STAR buildings program. Our Carbon Reduction Challenge plays a big part in BOMA International's sustainability efforts, see why participants have reduced emissions by 3.84% since taking the challenge.
